The New Mexico Gaming Control Board, through the State Gaming Representative, monitors the 2001 Tribal-State Gaming Compacts signed by eleven Tribes or Pueblos.  The compacting Tribes or Pueblos pay revenue sharing and report “net win” quarterly.  Net Win is the amount wagered on gaming machines less the amount paid out in prizes less a deduction for regulatory fees.  From this amount, the casino must pay all operating costs.  Net Win is not the net profit of the casino.  The total amount paid to the State Treasurer for the quarter ending March 31, 2002 from the eleven Tribes or Pueblos operating casinos was $7,668,594.61.  This revenue is deposited into the General Fund of the State.
